I can’t say that I have always wanted to blog, though I have often admired those who do. I guess the turning point that made me start one was the scuba trip. Those 4 unforgettable days gave me as much as I could have gone through in 4 months. I simply had to put it down in writing the best I could. Also, after being 4 months-like away from civilisation, I was surprised upon realisation that home felt… weird. I just didn’t know what to do. The trip was still fresh in my mind, and thus I decided to pour it out online.
Initially for want of a better word, the title of Blog. has grown on me these past 7 days, so Blog. (‘blog period’ I call it) will remain. With the scuba trip done in seven days, the fuel which birthed this blog is spent. I speak truly when I say on top, that ‘I also donno where this’ll go’, but now I do know that GO it will. Somewhere.
As of writing, this blog will be exactly one week old, with over 400 hits recorded (not including mine own). Some of these visitors are close friends, who make their presence known through their comments, jests and japes. Others are from friends who linger often but silent, yet are no less dear. And there are also visitors who have no inkling as to who Christopher Lim is, yet make the numbers up all the same. I THANK YOU ALL. Like all statistics, numbers are just figures, but they come alive with reasoning and interpretation. To me 400, is more than cause enough to celebrate and a sign to be grateful of. Your visits which amounted to over 80 daily fed me with encouragement, confidence, and motivation to talk of yet another day spent below the waves.
With that tale finished I now look forward to writing more, though I do not promise of a new post regularly. After 7 days of non-stop writing, saya perlukan break! Neither can I guarantee the quality (not to mention language) in which it is written. The formality I’ve been writing with comes at the cost of time. If I’m lazy, simple sentences separated only by three dots will suffice. Worser still, I might just let a picture paint you a thousand words by itself. In addition, you can expect me to write about ANYTHING. It may be about a good/bad day I had, or about some movie I like, or even about the weather. Anything I feel like of. Lastly, feel free to be generous with your complaints, on the condition that you be as equal with your compliments!
Sekain, harap maklum.
