Day 5 – The E… /… pilogue

What a great morning! For the first time on this island we didn’t have to be up and ready by 9. The day started slow, worry-and-hassle free; as there was no more diving to be done. Only a late wake up, followed by a late breakfast, and then more relaxation by the beach. Within 2 hours we had left the island, and by 4.30 that evening AirAsia had taken us on another roller coaster flight back to KL.

So that brings the end to my little scuba adventure. Looking back on my posts from Days 1-4, it’s pretty much been a huge grumble and complaint about the whole trip. But make no mistake; despite all that was, I would gladly go for it all over again if time was reversed.

It really and actually was an enjoyable trip, with many cherishable moments shared between the seven of us. But it’s all been overshadowed by my issues with the mask; just as this blog has been plagued with it too. On being practical though, the mask was just MY issue, and for most if not all of you, it’d probably be a breeze. So for those of you who have even the mildest bit of fascination, I do urge you to take up scuba diving, as it’s an exclusive gateway to a whole new side of nature below the waves. It’s just like you having a personal rocket backpack that enables you to fly, and somersault and do tumblewheels in the sky. Just except this one’s in the water. Also, isn’t the prospect of getting yet ANOTHER license enough to entice you? By the way, I had already lost mine by the time we were to leave the island. Booyah.

So to the other 6 in the company, thanks for a memorable trip. And especially to Mr Lopez, thanks for organizing and planning it in the first place. I wouldn’t now be diving if not for you. Doubt me not for saying that I WILL be continuing my dive education to Advanced level. For now though, I’m looking forward to a few FUN dives first. (That means no learning skills, no mask-twitching, just pure smooth sailing ;)

All that’s left is pics… COMING TOMORROW!
